Neds Review: Our Opinion on Referrer Code, Apps, Odds…

Welcome to our Neds review – giving you an honest and trustworthy opinion on one of the newest sports betting sites in Australia. We will be looking at the kinds of betting markets you can expect as a Neds customer account holder and how they compare to other online bookmakers.
|Neds Review||Our Rating|
|Neds Review: average grade||4/5|
Neds Betting Markets/Available Sports – 4/5
If you are into horse racing then Neds is the place to go. There are plenty of other sports betting markets to explore once you have signed up but Neds has been set up with the horse racing punter squarely in mind.
There is a really good selection of racing markets covering meetings from all across the world. But you can also bet on a whole range of sports – including all the Aussie favourites. Whether you like cricket, rugby (both codes!), or have specialist knowledge on world soccer you should find a market to suit.
Neds Odds – 4/5
Being one of the newest online sports betting sites, they routinely offer some very attractive odds that can sometimes beat their competitors – but generally, stay fairly similar to the rest of the industry.
Using a recent English Premier League soccer match as an example, the price offered for a Wolves home win – or draw – was much the same as Neds’ competitors but the odds on an away Newcastle win were slightly better.
It is these slight differences that create the value bets so if Neds keeps this up they might be a good place to check for odds when you are thinking of betting.
Streaming and Live Betting on Neds – 2/5
The rating for streaming and live betting in this Neds review is slightly unfair to the betting site as Australian regulations and laws do prohibit live betting in certain circumstances. But there are live in-play markets offered at Neds – so if you are able to make a live bet then the opportunity is there for you.
There doesn’t seem to be any live streaming available, however, so that is where Neds do get marked down. Today’s punter wants to watch the action as well as bet on it so maybe this is an area that they could work on. But as they are new, they do have the time to develop that element of their operation.
Please note, due to the Interactive Gambling Act in Australia, any form of live betting cannot be conducted online.
Neds Mobile app – 5/5
One area where Neds really do excel in our opinion is the mobile app. The design and layout – much like the desktop version – is perfect. They have obviously taken a lot of time designing the app for their customer account holders.
The app can be used on iOS and Android devices and can be downloaded from the usual places depending on which one you have. Neds definitely caters to today’s punter and recognises that using a mobile device for sports betting is the preferred method these days.
You can access all the markets and news on the app – and even sign up for your account in the first place.
Neds Review of Payment Options – 4/5
How you manage your money is just as important as the markets and odds available when it comes to sports betting sites – and Neds delivers in this area as well.
The usual range of payment methods is available – such as Visa and MasterCard debit cards. But there is also the newer online options as well, like PayPal – as well as Australian versions POLi and BPay – so customers have a good choice of how they can control their money.
There are no fees attached to these payment methods and deposits usually show up in the account immediately.
Neds Customer Care – 4/5
Hopefully, you will never have any issues getting in touch with a sports betting site but for any questions at all Neds have a good range of options to choose from:
- Live Chat
There is a Freephone number available from 8 am to 8 pm as well as an email contact form. For an even more immediate response there is a good live chat option or – as another example of Neds modern thinking – account holders can get in touch via Twitter.
Neds Review: Our Verdict – 4/5
Neds is a great addition to the Australian betting market. The look and usability of the site is a big plus – on both desktop and mobile app.
The overall rating is only let down by the live betting and streaming marks – which is partly out of the operator’s hands – so we predict a bright future for Neds and hope this review will help you decide whether you want to check them out and start betting. Also, remember that you can use a Neds referrer code at first registration – this is not a bonus code and does not grant access to additional offers.
